THE POSITION

Candidate will coordinate behavioral interventions and assist in the development, evaluation and implementation of behavior plans. Other duties require that the candidate coordinate, evaluate, and assist in the delivery of home based programs.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • NJ Teacher of the Handicapped certification required.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
  • Minimum three years teaching experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Required criminal history background check, physical examination, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

    MINIMUM
    QUALIFICATIONS

    • NJ Teacher of the Handicapped Certification with 3 years teaching experience; or
    • NJ School Psychologist Certification with 3 years experience
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification with experience a plus

    Supervisor of Special Services

    JOB GOAL(S)

    To coordinate behavioral interventions, assist in the development, evaluation and implementation of behavior plans, and familiarize teachers with behavior management techniques.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    1.
    Conduct observations, design data collection instruments, summarize and analyze behavioral data, write functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and develop and maintain behavior intervention plans (BIP).

    2.
    Conference with staff and/or parents concerning individual children's behavior plans.

    3.
    Serve as a resource person to staff and/or parents.

    4.
    Provide ongoing training to staff concerning appropriate use of crisis prevention, behavior management and intervention techniques.

    5.
    When necessary, and in concert with the administration and the classroom teacher, conference with parents concerning specific crisis situations involving their child.
    6. Other assigned tasks as determined by the administration.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT 10 Months

    Salary as per SOMEA Agreement
