Location: Murphey Administration Building
Definition: Under the direction of the Director of Educational Technology, maintain and support district and school technology systems, and computer hardware and software.

Tasks:
- Install, maintain, and repair computer system hardware, peripherals, and software.
- Troubleshoot technological issues and coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions.
- Serve as a resource for and provide technical assistance to district wide site technicians.
- Serve as primary technical support for Valley View Early Learning Center and Professional Learning Center.
- Temporarily support vacant site technician positions at the school sites, as needed.
- Diagnose, investigate, and resolve complex technical support issues pertaining to software and computer equipment.
- Process and ensure timely completion of endpoint repairs.
- Maintain and update inventory of technology equipment.
- Maintain UPS battery backups.
- Participate in the review, evaluation, and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions, and/or network updates, as needed.
- Serve as a back-up for governing board meetings, as needed.
- Support the implementation of new technologies.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, administrators, students, and the public.
- Assist in upholding and enforcing district and school rules, administrative regulations, and Governing Board Policy.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Other Characteristics:
- Knowledge of current developments and trends in enterprise technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot computer problems.
- Knowledge of MacOS/Windows compatible computers, peripherals, parts, and supplies.
- Knowledge of computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Knowledge of computer network administration.
- Skill in communicating technical information effectively, orally and in writing.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and flexible.
