E ssential Functions and Objectives:

R esponsible for maintaining the operational and transactional responsibilities of the department. Manages the coordination of day to day activities of a specific business function. Primary emphasis is achieving results by building engagement and empowering their teams. May have exposure for district wide initiatives.

R esponsible for leading graduation requirement policy, implementation, change management, continuous improvement and progress monitoring of data, process and content. Ensures alignment to district priorities and educational standards across the menu of options, collaborates cross-functionally, develops and implements professional learning, communications, and ongoing evaluation of the processes for the three portfolio approaches. Facilitates district and school leadership decision-making for program priorities, district support structures and communications relative to portfolio implementation.

- Provides strategy support to school leadership for real time planning; consults and collaborates with schools leadership to create and present professional learning series aligned to strategic planning, including regional meetings, leadership weeks and continuous improvement process meetings.

- Ensures real time support between school-based leadership and Career and College Success (CCS) regarding program implementation; provides consultation regarding how to merge competency options into existing school structures and studies data trends with school leaders to create action plans to support diverse student groups.

- Works cross-functionally to create pathways of study and co-manage career pathway certification options for students to meet competency through career capstone.

- Co-develops communication plans with school leaders and counselors to communicate On Track to Graduate (OTG) requirements to teachers and support implementation.

- Works with charter school teams to review new graduation requirements and develop strategies around all competency requirements for students to meet graduation requirements.

- Serves as a member of college ready on track content review team; supports schools in meeting college ready math benchmarks through improvement science.

- Ensures reporting functions are school designed and that data reports are accurate and are shared with schools for frequent progress monitoring; upskills users in best practices on how to use the tools to support students in meeting graduation requirements.

K nowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Five (5) or more years of related experience in education with at least 2 years of leadership experience is required.

- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

- Experience in analyzing data and using it to inform process and program improvements.

- Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner.

- Ability to develop and interpret data and manage resources.

- Outstanding facilitation and communication skills, including ability to inspire others.

- Organizational development and planning skills.

- Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel.

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team.

- High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite.

E ducation Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field is required.

- Master's Degree is preferred.
