Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 is seeking a Full-time (1.0) Wellness Teacher Assistant at Deer Path Middle School.

Description: The wellness teacher assistant demonstrates a passion for sports, physical activity and healthy living. The teacher assistant's primary focus is to support and enhance the educational process for students while also motivating and inspiring students to develop healthy habits.

Qualifications:

• A current Professional Educator License with Stipulations (PARA)
• Background in Wellness - preferred
• Experience working with middle school-age students with diverse needs

Responsibilities:

• Student supervision during Wellness classes and throughout the school day.
• Facilitation of Wellness class with a priority on student safety and engagement.
• Management of Wellness equipment and assistance with setup/teardown of activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
