The Hillsborough Township Public Schools Board of Education seeks an outstanding educational leader to serve as successor Superintendent of Schools beginning on or before December 1, 2022.
 

Hillsborough Township is the largest municipality in Somerset County, New Jersey covering an area of 54 square miles with approximately 37 thousand residents.  Hillsborough is centrally located only 60 minutes west of New York or east of Philadelphia.  This residential community encompasses Belle Mead, Blackwells Mills, Flagtown, Neshanic, and South Branch, with homes tucked into wooded lands or surrounded by rolling fields. 
 

Many residents operate businesses or are employed by neighboring corporations such as Ethicon, Exxon Mobil, Johnson & Johnson, Lucent, Merck, Ortho-McNeil, and Sanofi-Aventis.  Within close proximity to the district are institutions of higher learning such as The College of New Jersey, Princeton University, Rider University, and Rutgers University, as well as a number of community colleges.  The residents of Hillsborough Township are committed to quality education, and the excellence of township schools is often a key factor for those who select Hillsborough for their hometown.
