  • QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires knowledge of system development and maintenance methodologies; ERP functions and business practices; CalPERS and CalSTRS regulations, procedures, and reporting requirements; technical aspects of field of specialty; reading and writing English communication skills

    Must possess the ability analyze administrative functions and information requirements; assist users in determining automation needs; identify and develop ERP technology enhancements and improvements; demonstrate leadership while working with diverse groups of people; operate standard office equipment including microcomputers and related software applications; oral and written communication skills; establish and maintain effective working relationships with users and all levels of staff; plan and organize work; meet schedules and timelines; maintain records; read, interpret, apply, and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; direct the work of others.

    Assists in Collaborating with department Directors and other managers to identify functional gaps and improve efficiencies; designs and implements new business practices and technologies; plans and directs the work of partner vendors; oversees Payroll department and District payroll system and internal controls contained within; works directly with developers to design and test custom solutions in PeopleSoft; meet with stakeholders and departmental administration to review project deliverable and deadlines; familiarize users with capabilities and limitations of Information & Technology; assist in the development of project timetables; consult with users and monitor project to ensure that system requirements, timetables, and implementation strategies are met; serve as a technical resource to the Director of Budget & Payroll, internal administrators and employees as well as district employees concerning certificated and classified payroll activities; assists with adjustments, including federal tax, state tax, W-2 and other tax related adjustments; reviews federal tax and state tax quarterlies for all districts; reviews and posts bank uploads twice monthly; assists in reconciling W-2 reporting to quarterly taxes. conduct system level testing and assist end-users with acceptance level testing; participate in review during program and system development; maintain a continuing liaison with users; ensure proper implementation of systems; train and instruct IT staff in the support of PeopleSoft Modules; evaluate and test PeopleSoft patches and image updates; install PeopleSoft patches and image updates; lead compatibility testing after patch and image updates; monitor and maintain PeopleSoft System functions to ensure minimal downtime; perform other related duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Four-year college or university degree in information systems or directly related field. Two years of recent experience as a KHSD Senior Business Process Analyst; Advanced Level Transact-SQL User

    A CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.

    DUTIES OF POSITION: Works with subject matter experts and department leaders to develop new practices, methods, and technologies for essential ERP components such as Human Resources, Payroll, and Financials/Supply Chain Management. This position functions as an Expert in ERP technologies, and designs and implements new business practices and procedures to improve ERP efficiencies.

    STARTING SALARY: $8,386.00 (monthly)

    NUMBER OF MONTHS: 12 (to begin as soon as possible)

    NUMBER OF HOURS: 8 (daily working hours to be 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
