The Franklin Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking a Reading Specialist/Interventionist to join the Enosburg Falls Middle School grade 6-8 teaching team for the 2022-2023 school year.

Job Description: Enosburg Falls Middle School is seeking a reading specialist to provide supplemental instruction in reading as part of our collaborative system of supports for grades 6-8. This position will help our MS team to provide stronger first-tier instruction that benefits a diverse group of learning styles. Candidates should have a strong background using data-driven reading instruction and be able to develop written plan of instruction/intervention and progress monitoring for students at the Tier I, Tier II and Tier III levels. Qualified candidates should demonstrate knowledge in the appropriate administration of a wide range of reading assessments. Experience with the Lucy Calkins Units of Study for Reading and Writing is preferred. Experience with trauma-informed strategies to reach struggling learners is essential, as is the ability to work on a collaborative team of middle level educators. Qualified applicants will have experience with proficiency-based assessment and instruction and will be able to help implement and use effective proficiency-based practices in the classroom. A Vermont educator's license with either a Reading/English Language Arts Specialist or Reading/English Language Arts Coordinator endorsement, or a Middle level or 7-12 license with substantial training and experience with reading instruction and a willingness to work to achieve endorsement is required.

Franklin Northeast Supervisory Union (FNESU) is a Pre-K-12 system with ten schools consisting of six elementary schools, one middle school, two high schools, and a career technical center. Job Requirements
Must hold current VT Teaching License with proper endorsement.

At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred

Bachelor degree preferred
