Special Education Teacher for 2022 Summer School ~ $1,000 Bonus

Applicants external to the Caesar Rodney School District will be hired as temporary, casual/seasonal employees.
Preference will be given to current Caesar Rodney School District employees.

Summer School 2022 will be held June 16, 2022 - July 21, 2022, Monday - Thursday, 7:45 AM - 3:00 PM with no school on Fridays.
*There will be no school on June 20 in observance of Juneteenth and on July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

REQUIREMENTS : Individuals must possess DE certification in Special Education.

SALARY : Individuals will be paid an hourly rate of $35/hour and will be paid only for hours worked. Temporary, casual/seasonal employees are not eligible for leave or other benefits. Successful applicants will be paid a $1,000 bonus in two payments with the final payment contigent on completion of summer school with no more than three (3) excused absences. Only absences with medical documentation will be considered excused.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
