Oakville School District is seeking a highly motivated, .4 Spanish Teacher. The successful candidate will possess excellent classroom management skills and the ability to identify the learning needs of individual students and provide appropriate academic interventions. The candidate must have a desire to work with at-risk youth and demonstrate creative curriculum development and implementation. The candidate must exhibit warmth, concern, and a capacity for trust, as well as have the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff.
Salary Rate Range : OSD Salary Schedule
Additional Job Information : RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Maintain a physically and emotionally safe education space.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date files on student's academic progress.
Plan and arrange monthly student conferences
Participate as an integral member of students' case management team to develop educational, vocational, and personal service plans
Create a caring classroom climate that promotes participation
Meet monthly with students/parents for conferences.
Attend professional development conferences
Team with staff in PLCs and other collaborative assignments
Implement CCSS and data tracking student progress
Qualifications : REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid WA State Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement
Washington State Patrol fingerprint and background check
Develop individualized student learning plans based on assessments and student needs
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with cooperative teaming for special needs, at-risk, and ESL students
Successfully collaborate with peers and administration.
Ability to assess and identify students' barriers to success.
