The Community Charter School of Paterson proudly serves students in grades K-8. It is our goal to place each student on a pathway to academic success.

The Community Charter School of Paterson was founded by the New Jersey Community Development Cooperation 12 years ago. Our school founder, Bob Guarasci, sought to establish a school that provides high academics, high-caliber teaching, safe and supportive learning environments, and community support for the students and families. We are still working hard to fulfill this promise to every student!

At the Community Charter School of Paterson, student progress and academic achievement is important to us. Using internal and formal state assessments we carefully monitor student progress several times through the year and provide students and parents with updates throughout this process. Our teachers are committed to providing a personalized and rigorous academic experience for each student. In lieu of the COVID pandemic we have created virtual learning opportunities that also provide similar rigorous teaching and learning for students. Every CCSP student is provided a Chromebook device for these virtual learning as well.

Through our Home School Council, Community Signature Events, and frequent parent communication, we seek to partner with our parents and ask our parents to commit to working closely with our teachers.

The Community Charter School of Paterson is proud to offer safe and supportive resources for all students including students that may need additional support. This includes some special education services for students with Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and a Child Study Team.

Each campus has amazing teachers and support staff! Campuses are led by a Principal, Assistant Principal, and Operations Manager that provide direct supervision and daily leadership. These leaders are supported by a Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and Humanities, Support Services, and Science Technology and Mathematics (STEM) Supervisor's. Our school’s standards and expectations are high. From K- 8th grade, we provide research-based curricula and materials. Our school culture is positive, supportive, and committed to putting kids first!

Great things are happening at the Community Charter School of Paterson. We would love to have you be a part of our learning community. Please follow our social media sites on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn to learn more about our amazing school.
