ONE YEAR MATH INTERVENTION SPECIALIST (0.50 FTE)

Essex Westford is seeking a temporary (0.50 FTE) Math Interventionist at Founders Memorial School (grades 3-5) for the 2022/2023 school year. The position provides leadership school-wide in the area of math instruction, curriculum, and student assessment. This position is expected to last one year.

EWSD is committed to considering out-of-state candidates who are eligible to hold a Vermont educator license but do not yet hold a license in this state. Folks with experience working in another country, the ability to fluently speak more than one language, peace corp experience, and/or otherworldly experience are encouraged to apply to help contribute to a diversity of thinking and grow our organizational practices.

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

• Master's in education with a minimum of five years of teaching experience with a focus on math or comparable experience/education
  
• Hold, or be eligible to hold, a valid VT Educator license in a related endorsement area.
  
• Leadership experience in math instruction, curriculum, and assessment
  
• A strong understanding of best practices in math instruction and assessment at the middle grades level
  
• Ability to provide embedded professional development by modeling instructional techniques, observing classes, and providing feedback in a collaborative and supportive manner
  
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, communication, organizational, collaboration, and decision-making skills
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
