Lake Forest School District 67 is seeking a full-time Long-Term Substitute Learning Behavior Specialist at Deer Path Middle School for 8/22/22 - 1/5/23.

Description: The Learning Behavior Specialist serves as the special education teacher for assigned students Implements IEP goals and objectives and accommodations.

• Plans lessons and prepares instructional materials
• Presents lessons effectively
• Provides for differences of individuals and groups
• Evaluates student achievement effectively
• Interacts with students in a manner that encourages respectful relationships among students and teachers
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with staff
• Works cooperatively with school personnel to benefit students
• Communicates effectively with parents to enhance the learning process by responding to or initiating parent contacts in a timely, professional and constructive manner
• Executes Board of Education and building policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• A current Professional Educator License (PEL) with a LBS I endorsement - required
• Experience teaching middle school students - preferred
