Description: Little Scouts Preschool is looking for a qualified teacher to join our full-day preschool. Our goal is to hire teachers that will provide a warm nurturing, safe and loving environment where positive self-concepts are enhanced, independence is encouraged and individuality is respected. This position is a part-time flex teacher with the hours of 12 PM-5 PM daily. This Flex Teacher will act as program support and support our team of teachers when necessary. This is a great opportunity to work with a variety of age groups and to obseve a variaty of teaching styles. Perfect for an Early Childhood Education student!

Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull and lift. Repetitive motions are required. Employees must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly subject to inside and outside environmental conditions and is subject to noises associated with educational environments.

Qualifications:
  • 19 years of age or older with some credit hours towards a degree in ECE or your CDA
  • Current Infant/Child CPR Certification (will help certify)
  • Current SIDS Certification (will help certify)
  • Current Shaken Baby Syndrome Certification (will help certify)
  • Experience with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
The pay range for this is between $17.00 and $18.00 per hour depending on previous experience.
