Chappaqua CSD is looking for a dynamic, engaging and passionate educator to serve in the position of Leave Replacement Health & P.E. Teacher at Horace Greeley H.S. (Sept. 22 through Nov. 22).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.

Chappaqua CSD is looking for a dynamic, engaging and passionate educator to serve in the position of Leave Replacement Health & P.E. Teacher at Horace Greeley H.S. (Sept. 22 through Nov. 22).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Position begins August 31, 2022 and runs through November 2022 with a competitive daily rate.
- Develops and engages students in Health and Physical Education classes consistent with school district vision and goals that is rooted in the NYS Standards.
- Knowledge of physiology, health and nutrition, biology and biological functions, anatomy, hygiene, exercise, and best ways to promote physical and mental well-being
- Ability to promote knowledge and understanding of physiology, health and nutrition, anatomy, and biological functions.
- Develops students' concepts in nutrition, food groups, diet, caloric intake, vitamins, and related topics.
- Continues to engage in meaningful professional learning opportunities through readings, workshops, podcasts, conferences, and an active PLN.
- Experience with social emotional learning required and knowledge of RULER preferred.
- Encourages family involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and families.
- Knowledge of current health education instructional methods, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
- Interest in fulfilling other responsibilities such as club advisor/athletic coach.
- NY State Certification as a Health Education Teacher required. & NY State Certification as a Physical Education Teacher preferred.
