Long-Term Substitute Teacher - Secondary Math
(Begin Aug. 29, 2022 - Ending TBD)
Job Goal: To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible men and women.
Key Duties Include:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate effective classroom instruction consistent with building and district curriculum/programs
- Participate in team planning, programming, and instructional activities focused on improving instructional practices and student learning
- Provide appropriate preparation for state-mandated testing
- Utilize district and state assessments and standards in developing curriculum
- Recognize individual students' needs and provide appropriate strategies and interventions
- Foster and maintain a safe, positive learning environment
- Cooperate with building principal and staff in implementation of comprehensive instructional and activities programs
- Develop instructional goals and objectives to meet teaching assignment
- Prepare teaching materials and reports (e.g. grades, attendance, anecdotal records, etc.) for the purpose of implementing lesson plans and providing documentation of teacher and student progress
- Communicate effectively with parents and the school community
- Participate in building and district In-service education/training programs
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate, with proper endorsement(s) -Provided with application
- Highly qualified status in assigned area(s) -Provided with application
- Washington State Background Check
- Fingerprint Check

- Must comply with District rules and regulations
- Ability to maintain high ethical standards
