Para Position: 4 hours per day Monday-Thursday, 8-12pm

First Screening: June 1, 2021

Description:

This position would be responsible for supporting the certificated teacher with Summer School. These responsibilities include helping students with English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics Washington State Learning Standards (WSLS), facilitating the Imagine Learning online program, assisting with student pick up and drop off/student management and helping track student data.

  • Knowledge and ability to use excel spreadsheet
  • Knowledge and ability use Chromebooks and apps
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with teachers, students and parents
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience working with student grades K-5th
  • Experience with Imagine Learning Online Program
  • Experience demonstrating behavior management of students
  • Possess a valid First Aid/CPR card
  • Knowledge of challenges of students and families who live in poverty
  • Must possess or acquire and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's license
  • As a condition of employment, newly-hired employees must obtain FBI fingerprint background clearance and furnish proof of identity and employment authorization status.
