  • Work with parents to develop and modify instructional programs to meet individual learning needs of students in a variety of settings.
  • Able to plan, develop, implement and assess according to the Common Core Standards.
  • Demonstrates a caring attitude.
  • Able to use computers proficiently, for the production of documents, research, grading, instruction, curriculum and keeping student records.
  • Plans, develops and implements instruction designed to best meet the needs of students receiving services.
  • Develops positive techniques for improving student engagement, behavior and manages classroom, so as to, provide a productive learning environment and provides behavioral consultation and modeling to parents and students.
  • Maintains student records and reports as per WAC's and district policy/practice.
  • Communicates to parents consistently, verbally and electronically to share progress.
  • Assesses, determines present levels of performance for students in identified programs.
  • Plans, develops and monitors instructional programs carried out by paraprofessional.
  • Able to train paraprofessional efficiently and effectively.
  • Represent student needs in a positive manner. Belief that all students can be successful learners.
  • Motivate students.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Willingness to work with staff positively to accomplish goals through PLC's, staff meetings and department meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Hold a valid Washington State Teaching Certificate - with appropriate endorsement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instructional strategies needed for at risk students.
  • Demonstrated skills accessing educational technology.
  • Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the age level and subject to be taught is desired.
  • Prior experience working with students one on one with computer generated curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with parents.
  • Able to plan, develop, implement and assess according to the Common Core Standards.
  • Promote high expectations.
  • Demonstrate a caring attitude.
  • Incorporate high levels of student engagement strategies and classroom management.
  • Able to enforce school and district rules.
  • Active and positive member of the faculty and PLC team.
  • Able to keep inventory records of district owned materials.
  • Able to use computers proficiently for the production of documents, research, grading, and the keeping of student records.
  • Trained or willing to be trained in ASB procedures.
  • Current Washington State drivers license.
  • Willing to get a district Type 2 drivers license.
  • Commit to working before school, after school and weekends as needed.
  • Possess strong organization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to motivate students.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
