Full-Time/Certified
Academically or Intellectually Gifted Specialists: serve students K-12. Each Specialist serves a minimum of four schools. Academically or Intellectually Gifted Specialists provide both direct and indirect instruction to students at all grade levels based on student need and teacher request. This may include but is not limited to NET groups, small group instruction, push in/co-teaching, planning and unit development.
Academically or Intellectually Gifted Specialists are also responsible for providing resource materials as well as developing and presenting professional development for administrators, teachers, and parents that will address academic and intellectual needs and support social and emotional development.
Job Qualification
Applicants must have a current NC teaching license including add on AIG licensure, taught or worked with identified academically or intellectually gifted students. *Middle school experience is preferred.
