Position is from 5:00 PM - 9:00/9:30 for Continuing Education programs, which are typically held at Farmington High School, Irving A Robbins Middle School, or Lewis Mills High School. This position is seasonal and can range from 12-14hrs per week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Candidate should hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
B. Candidate should demonstrate the ability to communicate while maintaining order with large groups.
C. Consideration will be given to the following:
1. references that indicate the candidate possesses the skills required for this position
2. ability to control order
3. ability to communicate effectively
4. ability to make sound judgment
General Description:
The evening supervisor provides a variety of monitoring activities to ensure the smooth operation of continuing education evening classes at Farmington High School, Lewis Mills High School, and Irving Robbins Middle School and other area locations as needed. This includes printing class rosters, class attendance, signs, greeting participants at the main entrance, setting up an information/registration table, directing people to proper classrooms, and assisting the program facilitator with clerical duties as needed. This person opens classroom doors, distributes class rosters, handles teacher sign in sheets, displays
classroom signs, and checks classrooms for tidiness and proper room arrangements at the end of evening. The evening supervisor must be flexible and exhibit good customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain order and oversee smooth operation of evening program Demonstrate ability to communicate with adult learners, instructors, and staff Keep track of concerns /compliments in nightly notebook/ talk with Coordinator daily about program's operation Handle multiple tasks at once/ be flexible and pleasant in all communication Represent Farmington Continuing Education professionally and appropriately Other related duties, as assigned
REPORTS TO: Coordinator of Continuing Education Program
SALARY: $15-18/hour
Work Schedule: 16 hours per week (28 weeks per school year). Monday - Thursday, 5:00 PM - 9:00/9:30 for Continuing Education programs, held at Farmington High School on Monday/Wednesday, Lewis Mills High School (Tuesdays), Irving A Robbins Middle School (Thursdays).
