Job Description
School Counselors Grades K-6
Rutland City Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, organized student and family centered school counselor to work with students and families who have been disengaged due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. Grade levels may range from grades K-6 at Northwest Primary, Northeast Primary, and Rutland Intermediate School. Applicants must possess knowledge of trauma, crisis intervention, and diverse learning styles and be able to apply counseling theories and techniques for individuals, groups and families. The successful candidate must work as a part of a team in reaching out and assisting students and family members in problem solving, communication and positive relationships. Successful applicants must carry a current educational license through the Agency of Education.

We are only fifteen minutes from the Appalachian and Long Trail, twenty minutes from Killington Ski Resort, and in close proximity to many other recreational opportunities.
