Marian University Preparatory School, a faith-focused, private school serving grades K–12, provides a flexible learning environment tailored to the individual abilities and interests of each student. Created in partnership with Marian University, our school combines the best of virtual instruction with face-to-face engagement and offers high-quality academics and meaningful work-based and project-based experiences, so students can master what they love and learn as they live.

Marian University Preparatory School will be operating virtual and hybrid options for students. Virtual teachers will plan for both virtual and hybrid students, and will collaborate (team plan) with an on-site teacher (hybrid teacher) who will implement hands-on and project-based learning opportunities aligned to the material virtual students are receiving, two days per week, just in a different modality. The on-site option is being piloted in year one, and teacher flexibility and open-mindedness is a must.

The Hybrid Education Teacher is a highly qualified, state certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an on-site environment to students from grades 6-9. Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs. The Hybrid teacher collaborates with the virtual core teachers on a weekly basis to plan hands-on and project-based learning opportunities to enhance what is taught in the virtual setting. Students will engage in virtual classes during the on-site days as well, and the Hybrid teacher assists and supports hybrid students during these times. They actively work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance each student’s learning toward established goals. Teachers must be able to work in the Indianapolis on-site location.
