Essential Functions and Objectives:
Acts as the operational leader at the site. Responsible for ensuring positive relationships are built between families and the Summer Program staff and partners and that there is a positive culture among the staff.
The Site Leader is responsible for all administrative tasks at the ELA school site including working collaboratively with other summer programs at the site (if applicable). The site leader serves as the role model for a positive culture at the ELA site and must commit to the full scope of the ELA program during the summer.
Responsible for: addressing any student behavior issues escalated beyond the classroom, collaborating with Expanded Academic Learning (EAL) staff and other district personnel including transportation, nutrition, and facilities
Modeling district values and upholding district policies and procedures while supervising staff at the assigned site. Communicating any significant concerns to central office supervisor;
Accountable for the Special Services Providers to all requests for support with student physical and mental health needs
Provide direction on the instruction being delivered daily in alignment with the Summer Connections curriculum. Direct teacher participation in professional learning and for teacher coaching and observation. Oversee the recording of daily attendance and contact families when students are absent.
Coordinates with office personnel the passing out and collection of testing material, and checking-in and inventorying curriculum and supplies on the first and last day of the program. Ensures proper maintenance, accuracy, completeness, confidentiality and security of all data/records
Manages office support related to student registration, communication with students and families, and attendance. Ensures all students are properly placed in the morning, and all students make it safely to the afternoon program.
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Principal or Administrator license.
-Previous experience as a school leader required.
- Knowledge of Google Suite.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.
- The ability to take responsibility for one's own performance.
- Work collaboratively with others on a team.
- Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and fast-paced environment.

-Bachelor's Degree Required
