Overview:

The Bookmapper, K-12 Math, (Part Time) will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of automated Google sheet bookmaps for the K-12 Math printed components, including Student Editions, Teacher Editions, ancillaries, and printed sampling materials for all National and state customization editions. They will work closely with the K-12 Directors of Curriculum, Curriculum Managers, Project Management, Product Management, and Design. The Bookmapper, K-12 will report to the K-12 Editorial Lead for Mathematics.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of new automated Google sheet bookmaps based on TOC counts (number of units/lessons) for new Amplify Math programs.
• Gather specs and requirements from Curriculum leadership, Design, and Product Management, e.g., all lessons start on a right-hand page, all overviews are 8 pages, etc.
• Include automated formulas for unit and sub-unit overviews and sections in the front and end of the book, such as glossaries and indices
• Include automated formulas for adding page numbers, both numeric and alphanumeric.
• Include other automated counts such as standards coverage and major work of the grade.
• Maintenance of all Amplify Google sheet bookmaps in terms of scripting (Google sheet formulas).
• Resolving formula errors, streamlining codes and formulas so that they are more efficient.
• During curriculum development, perform automated Google sheet bookmap checks and report monthly to Curriculum Leads for standards coverage and major work of the grade.
• Communicate bookmap formatting/creation updates to Curriculum, Project Management, and Design team members.

Basic Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with scripting/coding in spreadsheet technology, with preference given for experience in Google sheet formulas
• While previous experience in curriculum development or print publishing is not required, preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience creating bookmaps for printed materials.
