WORK HOURS: 7.5 hours per day - 37.5 hours per work week
CONTRACT LENGTH: 237 days
SALARY: Student Support Secretary Salary Schedule (Minimum: $25,157 - $41,43 Maximum)

General Job Description: To expedite the daily working of the Hearing Authority Office and the Athletic Office under the direction of the Hearing Authority and Athletic Director in such fashion as to provide maximum facilitation of the educational process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Serve as point of contact for all in-coming Hearing Authority/Athletic Office guests and visitors.
  • Perform general secretarial duties for the Director of Athletics as assigned.
  • Utilize computer software/program(s) to maintain up-to-date and accurate records and data entry including experience with Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Receive in-coming telephone calls and operate telephone system.
  • Compose correspondence as necessary. Maintain a record of information relative to all disciplinary issues.
  • Prepare, type, and mail forms relative to discipline.
  • Coordinate distribution and collection of quarterly student progress reports.
  • Mail notices/correspondence as necessary.
  • Maintain a record of information relative to all disciplinary issues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with all duties relating with Hearing Authority and District Athletic Office.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Experience as a secretary or equivalent work.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic office procedure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills of computer function and operation, typing, accounting, Excel, and other related secretarial skills.
  • Demonstrated effective and stable interpersonal relationship with public and staff.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the job and access the environment for which you are hired. The following may be required: Sitting, standing, lifting, moving about the room or school, carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, kneeling, prolonged typing, physical ability to type on a keyboard terminal, and moving light furniture.

Equipment/Technology Handled: Must know how to properly operate or be willing to learn to operate all multimedia equipment including current technology.

Work Environment: Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignment without direct supervision. After hour work may be required.

Terms of Employment: Salary and work calendar established yearly by the district.
