Driver Education @ High School - Summer Program
Driver Education Program Teacher
All candidates for the posted position must possess New York State certification in the required grade/subject area. Only teachers holding a permanent position with the district can bid on this posting. Specific questions about the announced opening should be directed to the W.T. Hoag Building/Program Administrator BEFORE submitting your letter of interest.
All positions are contingent upon enrollment, maintenance of enrollment and student attendance. Teachers will not be paid when students are absent. If attendance drops, staff requirements and needs will be adjusted accordingly. The expectation is that teachers will be present for all days. Lapses in attendance will be considered when hiring for future Summer School employment opportunities.
Dates and Times:
Classes start July 5, 2022 and continue through July 28, 2022. (July 29, 2022, make-up date.)
Classes will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 3:20 p.m.
Classes will run as follows:
Wednesday, June 29, 2022 - Two hours for room and curriculum preparation are available. Upon receiving the Summer School assignment, you must email Christine Starks indicating that you will come to the Middle School from 8:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m. in Wednesday, June 29, 2022 for room preparation. Your intentions to participate in room and curriculum preparation are due by Friday, June 24, 2022. Class lists and other pertinent information will be available through email. You will not be compensated without prior notification.

Salary:
All employees will be required to use the electronic time keeping system each day in lieu of submitting time sheets to principals for payroll. Once employees receive and accept a summer school position, they must make an appointment to stop in the business office to be processed for the electronic time system if not already enrolled.
