SUMMARY:

The Manager of Admissions at National Heritage Academies (NHA) will lead a team of East Michigan based Admissions Representatives (AR) engaged in the recruitment of students for a region comprised of several schools. The Manager of Admissions provides strategy, guidance, development, and leadership to ARs as they work to execute the admissions marketing plan. The purpose of the marketing plan is to achieve enrollment goals, and when possible build a robust waiting list for a regional portfolio of schools. This is achieved by working closely with all stakeholders. Strong collaboration across departments is also required to build advocacy and buy-in. This position requires a creative, organized, and driven professional with strong leadership skills. Coaching, mentoring, and managing a team are essentials parts of this job. This position can be based in Grand Rapids, MI or work remotely. This position will support a team based out of Eastern Michigan and travel to this area will be required as needed to achieve management and enrollment success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Guide employee performance and quality of work by leading weekly one-on-one sessions with ARs and assuring accountability to the department KPIs.
  • Manage AR growth through field observations (as needed), coaching sessions and annual reviews of individual AR team members, and make recommendations for development focusing on the marketing plan strategies.
  • Initiate, design, and deliver team and departmental training and developmental activities that enhance school enrollment success and waitlist development.
  • Manage all staffing activities, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and terminating employees as necessary, etc.
  • Encourage professional growth and cooperation among team members by creating an environment for an AR to develop leadership skills.
  • Guide the AR through strategic marketing plan development, presentation, and implementation during both spring and fall seasons.
  • Confidently use available tools and resources (both people and reporting) to review data, evaluate enrollment, and adjust actions to be taken for individual schools to ensure enrollment success.
  • Develop/maintain a partnership with school administration by effective communications to assess enrollment, and gain support for needed recruitment practices.
  • Develop/maintain relationships with top producing or large potential community partners during scheduled monthly visits with ARs.
  • Lead AR team meetings, attend/contribute to weekly/bimonthly departmental meetings and any other necessary meetings with external and/or internal stakeholders.
  • Engage in initiatives and special projects as identified or assigned.
  • Effectively manage assigned school marketing budgets and travel budget.
  • Understand the competitive marketplace for each school in your portfolio.
  • Partner with the Director of Admissions or appropriate manager to provide feedback to the Marketing Department to support business objectives..
  • Using the tools and resources provided, ensure that ARs develop a weekly and monthly plan that supports enrollment success.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business, sales, or marketing.
  • Proven track record of effective management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft CRM and Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to fulfill department Key Behaviors.
  • Ability to work assigned/flexible hours necessary.
  • Travel is required and regional-as needed to achieve management and enrollment success.
