Job Details

Cardinal Shehan School is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and experienced Religion teacher who exhibits a passion for working with children. The successful applicant should demonstrate knowledge and communication of subject matter competency to elementary aged students. This position begins in August of 2022.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Follows the AOB curriculum and best practices in development of daily instructional plan
  • Use effective instructional methods/models according to professional standard practice
  • Use varied assessment tools to perform both formative and summative assessments by demonstrating a willingness to respond to individual learning needs.
  • Communicates effectively with students, parents and administration in all matters related school
  • Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Theology etc.
  • Must obtain AOB certification in Religion
  • Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods/strategies, and curriculum differentiation
  • Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
