    The teacher is directly accountable to the principal, the Office of Catholic Schools and the local school. The teacher cooperates with the principal and staff in providing an educational environment that promotes the ministry of Catholic education.

    Resource Teacher
    St. Andrew is currently seeking a K-8th Grade Resource Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.

    • Illinois Professional Educator License with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Self-motivated with demonstrated time management and organizational skills

    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of the Student Support Team

    • Flexible, independent self-starter

    • Strong technology skills

    • Expertise with behavioral and academic interventions and the use of data to drive those interventions

    • Possess a philosophy of prevention and intervention through implementation of tiered support for students (MTSS)

    • Possess a solid working knowledge of the federal and state special education regulations

    • Serve as case manager for ISP and 504 Plans

    • Serve as case manager for general education students who are in need of math and reading support

    • Serve as a resource to kindergarten - fourth grade teachers regarding targeted instructional strategies in reading and math

    • Administer small group instruction to students in need of additional academic support
