    Social Emotional Learning Coordinator
    Purpose
    The job of Social Emotional Learning Coordinator is done for the purpose/s of providing universal support for the
    SEL instructional program with specific responsibilities for effecting proactive and preventative social and
    emotional learning for all students; will build capacity of staff to implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports,
    collaborates with District leaders, school administrators, and support staff in areas associated with Arizona.
    Social Emotional Learning Competencies and trauma-informed care, cultural and equity inclusive practices.
    This job reports to Assigned Administrator.
    Essential Functions
    Collaborates with district personnel to support implementation of SEL Systems, workshops, training, in-
    service presentations, etc. in classroom management techniques and other topics for the purpose of
    developing skills and establishing effective relationships with all students.
    Collects analyzes, and interprets behavior data for the purpose of ensuring students are provided with
    social and emotional learning opportunities and for developing professional development.
    Develops procedures and training materials for district staff involved with social and emotional learning for
    students for the purpose of enhancing programs for students and ensuring that program operations are in
    compliance with regulatory requirements.
    Develops and supports implementation of Tier 1 SEL curriculum for the purpose of ensuring guaranteed and
    viable delivery of SEL instruction.
    Develops and Supports menu of services for Tier 2/Tier 3 systems for the purpose of enhancing programs
    for students and ensuring that program operations are in compliance with established guidelines.
    Ensures students with social and emotional behavior difficulties are provided opportunities for the purpose
    of developing appropriate social skils in a structured setting.
    Explicit development of District/School Leadership and SEL Interventionist for the purpose of supporting staff
    and effectively implementation of social emotional learning on campus.
    Facilitates half and full day professional development for district for the purpose of integrating adult SEL into
    all aspects of professional development.
    Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality for the purpose of protecting all parties involved
    in social and emotional learning.
    Models flexibility in implementing best learning practices for the purpose of supporting the well-being of all
    students through responsive work inside and outside the classroom.
    Observes and provides feedback to PBIS school teams and SEL Interventionists for the purpose of ensuring
    implementation of the PBIS program.
    Organize and create a caring, inclusive, and healthy community for the purpose of supporting learners in
    reaching their fullest potential.
    Participates and/or leads District PBIS team for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information
    required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program guidelines.

    Participates in a variety of meetings, workshops and committees such as PBIS for the purpose of conveying
    and/or gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program
    guidelines.
    Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning
    of the work unit.
    Provides professional learning and resources for subject specialist for the purpose of integrating SEL into
    their professional learning and coaching programs at school sites.
    Provides parents information for the purpose of updating them on possible behavior interventions and
    progress for their child.
    Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

    SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include adhering to safety practices and procedures; analyzing data; classifying data and/or information; physical restraint practices; planning and managing projects; conducting meetings; facilitating meetings; travel between sites; Represents the diversity in the district and drives SEL implementation; highly skilled in SEL, provides guidance, professional learning, and coaching to schools.
    KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent's, and/or ratios; read.
    technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to
    define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the
    functions of the job include: Practicing positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) or (PBS); practicing cultural competency while working collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
    ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; gather and/or collate data; and use
    basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; work with data
    utilizing defined and similar processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work
    with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with similar types of data; and utilize specific, job-related equipment.
    Problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data may require independent interpretation; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; working extended hours; working with detailed information/data.
    Responsibility
    Responsibilities include working under direct supervision using standardized routines; leading, guiding, and/or
    coordinating others; operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units is often
    required to perform the job's functions. There is some opportunity to effect the organization's services.
    Work Environment
    The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 0% sitting, 0% walking, and 0% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
    Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.
    Education: Master's degree in job-related area.
