CTE STEM Math Teacher (FTE 1.0)

Job Description: This position posting is for a high school CTE Math Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Actual classes will be based on student needs with a focus on Business Statistics, Geometry, and/or Algebra 1. Qualified applicants must have stong skills in the areas of standards-based planning, instructional best practices, and intentional use of assessments. Applicants must be eager to work cooperatively within CTE and Math departments in school team setting. Applicants must be organized and possess outstanding communication skills in working collaboratively and effectively with students, teachers, parents, community, and administrators

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Possess a Washington State Teaching Certificate with secondary endorsement in Mathematics
• Possess a Washington CTE Certification Initial or Continuing Certification and follow CTE standards and expectations
• WSP/FBI Fingerprint/Background Clearance (fee paid by the employee)
• Demonstrates command of interpersonal commutation skills with students, parents, and peers (oral and written)
• Familiar with state standards and training in effective use of assessment
• Successful teaching experience/practicum in a secondary setting
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and community

Reports to: CTE Director, Building Administrators

Evaluation: Evaluated by the Building Administrators with contributions from the CTE Director

Salary Rate: Salary will be based on the Teacher Salary Schedule
