Springville-Griffith Institute CSD, a K-12 public school district located in Springville, NY is seeking a District Treasurer.
The position is full-time, 40 hours/week, 12 months/year, civil service exempt. Starting salary is $54,000/year but may increase based upon experience and qualifications. An individual with a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or other related field and a minimum of 1-2 years in public fund accounting is desired.
Duties include but are not limited to complete general ledger oversight, daily accounting for all funds, providing guidance for payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing monthly reports for the Board of Education, including bank reconciliations, budget and revenue status reports, as well as financial management of all local, state and federal grants. Additional duties include assisting the SBA in budget development, maintaining positive internal controls, updating all fixed asset accounts and debt service schedules, and working with department heads to ensure accurate budgeting and accounting transactions. Other accounting duties will be performed as assigned.
The successful candidate must possess sound judgment, honesty, integrity, and thoroughness, have the ability to communicate with a broad constituency effectively, set priorities, make decisions based on the needs of the District and work effectively and collaboratively across agencies.
