M-F while school is in session.
Hourly Rate = $13.90 - $16.90 (DOE)
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving school meals.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepares and serves foods for breakfast,cardinal break, and lunch
2. Additional food prep including; salad bar, sandwiches and condiment cart.
3. Performs various clean up activities; may be on a rotating basis with other cooks and kitchen personnel.
4. Cashier responsibilities including student accounts, and end of day cash drawer reconciliation.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
High school graduate or equivalent
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
One year preferred
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of commercial food preparation and equipment preferred
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
Has the ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers
Observes all district policies and procedures
Displays sound judgement and decision making skills
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION
None required
ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Mostly clean and comfortable; noise; hazardous equipment; temperature extremes
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending
Frequent lifting up to 20 pounds
Occasional lifting 20 up to 50 pounds
