AN INVITATION TO APPLY
FROM MOUNT GREYLOCK REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

www.mgrsd.org/human-resources

The Mt. Greylock Regional School District is honored to announce the search for a Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) for our three-school district. This is a new position and the first of its kind in our community.

The time for this position is now, as we work to address national, statewide, and very localized challenges related to bias, to a lack of empathy and understanding, and a need to increase a sense of safety and belonging among many of our students and families.

We have students who carry a multitude of identities. We must find ways to acknowledge, respect, learn from, celebrate, and encourage our students for who they are so that we can help each student grow into who and what they dream of being.

Our leadership team needs to do this work. Our staff needs to do this work. Our students, likewise, need to do this work-and our students deserve to have the rest of us working twice as hard as they are to build a more empathetic, understanding, and cohesive community.

The Director of DEIB will serve as the lead for key initiatives and will provide coaching, accountability partnership, and resources for efforts across the district, as detailed below.

We recommend that interested candidates read the September 2021 report from The Mt Greylock Listening and Learning Project for context on our local DEIB-related opportunities and challenges.
