Job Summary:

The Vehicle Inventory Control Specialist ensures accurate records for new/surplus vehicles within Fleet Services. She/he provides secretarial support in an office environment. She/he may assist in the implementation of the details and duties designed to carry out the goals, objectives, and programs of Fleet Services. Daily responsibilities may vary depending on the needs of the department.

Essential job functions:
Maintains and completes records for new and surplus vehicle inventory
Imports daily fuel transactions, maintains fuel cards and employee PINs
Maintains vehicle insurance/inventory contro
Prepares the monthly/annual reports and records in compliance with regulations
Personally responds to inquiries by making decisions which, in the employee's judgment, do not require the supervisor's attention
Prepares and replies to correspondence on own initiative or from brief dictated notes in accordance with predetermined policy and practice.
Prepares necessary informational materials for the department for which they are assigned, i.e., vehicle information, surplus sales
Provide backup/support to service writer and bookkeeper position as needed
Performs other duties as assigned.
