High School English Teacher

We seek an experienced, energetic English teacher to serve Rutland High School's learners.

This position requires a dynamic individual to teach English at the high school level. The ideal candidate will be able to teach any level, from 9th grade through to our AP offerings; have a strong background in content, as well as technology integration and global studies themes. Desired are a background in Standards-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning and instructional strategies that support brain-based learning concepts. Very importantly, we are seeking an individual who can enter a collaborative partnership with colleagues, one who is willing to play an active role in a professional learning community to support the education of all students.

Rutland is a unique community in both its location and spirit, offering people all the amenities of a city while minutes away from the heart of the Green Mountains. We are only fifteen minutes from the Appalachian and Long Trail, twenty minutes from Killington Ski Resort, and in close proximity to many other recreational opportunities.
