    TITLE: Secondary Data and Student Achievement Specialist

    JOB GOAL: The Secondary Data and Student Achievement Specialist provides support with collecting and preparing a variety of data about student learning, facilitates the data PLC process, and assists staff to use data to improve student achievement.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Arizona Secondary Teaching Certificate (preferably Math, Science, or English)

    2. Current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

    3. SEI (Structured English Immersion) requirement posted on certificate

    4. Five (5) years of successful teaching experience preferred

    5. Experience in analyzing testing data preferred.



    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

    District-level Responsibilities:
    1. Maintain leadership and involvement within Galileo Assessment Group (GAG).

    2. Analyzes scores for Galileo benchmark tests, AzMERIT, AIMS, etc.

    3. Lead and conduct data team meetings with administration and Teachers.

    4. Compile reports as needed and communicate strengths and needs to site and district-level personnel.

    5. Assists District level coordinators and Executive Director of Educational Services as needed.

    6. Attends curriculum and data meetings and trainings as needed.

    7. Assists with AzMERIT and other assessments before, during, and after testing. This will include events such as, but not limited to uploading student information, watching training videos, coordinating with site technology person, principal and district-level personnel for successful implementation of testing.


    School-level Responsibilities:
    1. Use data from a variety of assessment measures to identify at-risk students in core content areas

    2. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the AZ Math curriculum standards.

    3. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of AZ ELA curriculum standards.

    4. Analyze data to determine those students who need remediation, re-teaching or tutoring programs.

    5. Assist with remediation, re-teaching, or tutoring programs.

    6. Understand and lead PLC initiative within school.


    7. Assists with the GAG group responsibilities (i.e. coordination of test administration for Galileo benchmarks, AzMERIT, AIMS, etc)

    8. Attend regularly scheduled instructional team leader meetings and participate as a member of the team to promote learning activities for students consistent with district and school strategic objectives.

    9. Coordinate with the school principal and department chairs a schedule to accommodate identified students in the reteach and enrich system.

    10. Attend training sessions as the principal directs

    11. Work closely with teachers to coordinate efforts of the intervention program with the regular classroom to promote student success.

    12. Maintain required data on individual student progress and disseminates data to principal, teachers, and parents.

    13. Collaborates with the principal and assistant principal in all areas of testing.

    14. Provide technical support as needed by building principal.

    15. Perform other duties as assigned.

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10- Month Certified Calendar

    COMPENSATION: Per District Certified Salary Schedule

    HOURS: 40 hours per week and may require longer hours

    CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
