St. Edward Catholic School, located on the NW side of Chicago, is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Extended Care Director to join their team for the 2022/2023 school year!

The Extended Care Director:
The extended day program is a vital part of our school community, providing a structured and safe environment for our students beyond school hours. The director of this program should drive the positive culture during this time. A successful candidate will be organized, dedicated, and communicative. He/ she should be warm and caring, and committed to helping children.

Responsibilities

The duties of the extended care director include but are not limited to:

• Supervise all children attending before and after school extended care programs
• Maintain registration and emergency forms
• Maintain records of students' extracurricular activities including, but not limited to, lessons, sports, and clubs
• Work effectively and professionally with staff, parents, and students to ensure a safe and efficient program
• Document and track financial aspects of the program including registration fees, weekly before and after care billing, food and supply expenses, late fees
• Schedule staff shifts
• Prepare and maintain weekly sign-out sheets and online sign-ups and communicate that to school staff daily
• Create yearly online sign-up for daily registration
• Purchase supplies and snacks based on usage and need

Environmental and Physical Demands

The extended care director is expected to carry materials up to 10 lbs and climb stairs.

Requirements and Preferences

• Practicing Catholic preferred
• Compliance with Safe Environment requirements
• College graduate
• Supervisory skills
• Ability to work with students in a less structured but organized environment
• About 5-7 hours per week not including hours supervising students at extended care programs.
