Elizabeth High School Vocal Music Instructor
$37,502 - $56,938 annually. This position will include an extra duty stipend of $15,000 in addition to base salary.
We offer an attractive benefits package to include health, dental, vision, life insurance and paid time off as well as a retirement plan through PERA.
Candidates for this full time teaching position should be certified in secondary music education and capable of planning for and teaching four choir classes (beginning mixed, intermediate women, advanced mixed, and mixed jazz choir) and a beginning level group piano class. Groups this candidate is responsible for include a Chamber Choir, Jazz Choir an all female ensemble, other mixed groups and possibly stage dance.
The successful candidate will be able to continue each ensemble's work in sight-reading, music theory, music history, and concert repertoire. This teacher will be expected to direct the choir's annual Spring Concert, direct the choirs at the CHSAA Large Group Festival, and begin the literature for the next concert cycle. (Literature will be pre-determined by choir teacher.
