QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates must hold a New York State certification in Music Education and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured teacher. Please attach a PDF or screen shot of their certification(s). Candidates must specialize in one of the following music performance concentrations: stringed instruments, wind instruments, percussion instruments, brass instruments, and voice.

DUTIES:
The Summer Music Coach will work directly with the Supervisor of Music and provide support to the summer enrichment music teachers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring and facilitating student transitions between lessons and rehearsals, assisting with the management and implementation of lesson schedules, monitoring attendance records, the implementation of curriculum materials and resources, providing teachers with instructional support, maintaining positive relationships between all parties, assisting with the overall safety of students, and communicating with families whenever necessary.

Teachers may need to provide remote instruction for students who are medically exempt or in the event a student needs to quarantine.
