Washington Central Unified Union School District is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic educator to join our Visual & Performing Arts Department to teach middle and high school level instrumental music ensembles including beginning and intermediate middle school bands, high school band, intermediate jazz band, high school jazz band, and the preparation of students for District, All State, and New England music festivals.  This position also includes responsibilities as Teacher Advisor for about 8 to 10 Students.

Applicant must be:

1. Enthusiastic and student centered
2. Committed to educating all students to high standards
3. Knowledgeable in high school and middle school instrumental music pedagogy
4. Knowledgeable in teaching jazz styles, jazz theory, and improvisation
5. Knowledgeable in utilizing current music technology to include digital recording
6. Skilled in proficiency-based instruction and assessment
