The CBCSD is seeking applicants for the following position for the 2022-2023 school year:

Position: Assistant Marching Band Director
Location: Abraham Lincoln High School
Stipend Range: $3,718.00 - $4,470.00 (based on experience)

PLEASE READ: The objective of the Assistant Marching Band Director is to compliment the skills of the head director. This person would likely be a percussion/pit ensemble specialist or a visual specialist, depending on the candidate chosen. A percussion/pit ensemble specialist would be responsible for teaching drumline elements (cadences, fight song, pep band music for football and basketball games), audio set up requirements, and pit ensemble music and performance practice for the show. A percussion specialist could also hold regular drumline rehearsals over the summer and after school, in addition to the regular season. A visual instructor would be responsible for teaching visual elements of the marching band, including but not limited to: marching fundamentals, body movement, and show drill throughout the season. A person selected for this position would be expected to have a significant background in the marching arts, to an extent that it would supersede the experience and knowledge of the current head directors. Such background could include performance and teaching experiences in WGI Winds or drum corps, preferably at the World Class level.
