POSITION : Adult Education Part-Time certified English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher
REPORTS TO : Director of Adult Education
POSITION SUMMARY :
ESL teachers will provide classroom instruction in literacy, learning to speak, read, write in English, as well as, preparing students to function in society with life and basic job skills. In addition, teachers are expected to prepare students for post secondary education. All teachers must have basic computer skills.
QUALIFICATIONS :
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Part-time hourly rate is in accordance with the New Haven Public School Systems hourly rate. There are no paid holidays, vacation or paid sick leave during this scheduled program period. Hours to be discussed.

- Must possess and maintain appropriate Connecticut Subject Certification or Adult Education Endorsement code 088 or 111Experience with Adult Education teaching preferredAny CT Teaching Certification Required, CT Cert 088- Teaching ESOL to Adults -Required within 1 year of hire , Masters in TESOL or related filed, preferred
