The Mount Vernon City School District is seeking interested applicants to fill four, (4) School Psychologists vacancies with the Office of Special Education. School Psychologists are team members that partner with families, teachers, school administrators and other professionals to create safe, healthy and supportive learning environments to strengthen connections between homes, schools and the community. The ideal applicants must have the valid NYS Certification(s) required for the position, must have received extensive SEL training and (Bilingual Preferred) . Additionally, the School Psychologist MUST be able to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations that include but are not limited to the assessment of intellectual, developmental, academic, social/emotional and behavioral status; Must be able to assess data collection using formal and informal or non-standardized evaluation techniques including functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention plans; Must be able to interpret and utilize assessment data for the purpose of writing psychological reports and developing written intervention plans and have the ability to consult with teachers and administrators regarding students to assist with the development of teacher implemented interventions.
