POSITION: Interim Director of Adult Ed
LOCATION: Nashua High Schools
WORK YEAR: 260 days; Full year, July 1 - June 30
STARTING: January 2023
SALARY RANGE: COMPETITIVE SALARY AND BENEFITS
QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Education preferred, five years successful secondary teaching experience or prior equivalent related experience working with adult and/or community education. Prior administrative or leadership experience. Principal certification preferred. Ability to plan, organize, provide leadership and to be pro-active in resolving problems. Interpersonal skills, knowledge of Microsoft office systems and some experience with student software systems needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director, Adult and Community Education, extends the benefits of the District's educational program to the community during out-of-school hours, and to those who can benefit from continued academic and applied technology courses. The Director assumes the responsibility and authority for managing the use of school facilities for the Community and Adult Education Program after normal school hours.This position provides leadership, supervision, and coordination of the Adult and Community Education program and personnel, high school student registrations, including managing student records and supervising related guidance staff services, Summer School programs and Driver Education program. Markets and publicizes the offerings of the assigned programs; develops and accesses sources of revenue to support the programs. Develops courses to meet the expressed needs of adults in the community. Provides curricular course offerings in conformance with state laws that result in an adult diploma that meets high school equivalency requirements. Prepares and administers assigned program budgets; files annual comprehensive reports and program evaluations.
