Location: Districtwide (Harborview Elementary School)
Hourly position (Less than 15 hours per week)

Position Summary: At the elementary LEAP (GV/RVB) or CONNECT (HV) after school programs, the Site Manager Assistant, an hourly position, assists the Site Manager with operating the program and/or will substitute for the Site Manager when absent. This position provides leadership for implementing recreational and educational activities for students on a M-TH basis afterschool, from approximately 2-5:15 p.m. or 3 hours 15 minutes daily. This position will be based at Harborview Elementary School.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior experience working with children.
• Valid Alaska driver's license.
• Computer skills, ie. Excel, Google Drive, web based data collection.

Preferred Knowledge of:

• Child Development and behavior support.
• School safety procedures.
• How to comply with policy and procedures.
• Trauma engaged policies.
• School district policy.
• Principles of supervision.

Ability to:

• Provide leadership in on-site after school program operations.
• Assist in supporting staff in management, organization, coordination, observation of students and staff.
• Collect and report data.
• Guide students in positive decision-making, resolving conflicts and facilitating positive interactions among and between students.
• Organize snack distribution on a daily basis.
• Set up, organize, and distribute program supplies and materials.
• Develop, implement, and enforce behavior management strategies.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Operate a personal computer.
• Maintain effective working relationships with other people.

Compensation: This is an hourly position working less than 15 hours a week, Monday-Thursday, with a pay rate $25.00 per hour. This is a non-benefited position.

Selected hire will be fingerprinted at applicant's expense and fingerprints forwarded to the Alaska State Troopers and the FBI for a criminal background check.
