Position Summary
We have an immediate opening for full-time school general maintenance technician. Details include:
- Pay range starts at $30,000 per year/$576.00 per week (additional pay for prior work experience)
- Hours are 9AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday, year-round
- No overtime and minimal weekend work requirements (up to 4 Saturdays/year)
- Annual pay increases
- Paid health and dental insurance (single coverage)
- Paid Time Off: 4 personal days, 12 sick days, 10 vacation days and 12 holidays per year

Our maintenance team is responsible for minor maintenance and general repairs to our buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. Requirements and specific duties are listed below.
Position Requirements
Requirements include:
- 3 year's experience (or specialized training) in carpentry, plumbing, or other trades.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, and grounds keeping.
- Able to effecitvely use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Able to safely operate lawn and grounds equipment.
- Must have sufficient strength to meet the demands of the job which include lifting up to 50 pounds and the ability to climb, lift, bend, and stand 90% of time
- Able to work in all weather conditions and perform snow removal and grounds work
- Obtain 3 background clearances: PA Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and the Federal Criminal History Record (CHRI)
- Maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and have reliable transportation and a safe driving record
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs including but not limited to: painting, drywall, carpentry, masonry, electrical, and plumbing. Perform preventative maintenance as directed.
- Replace filters and light bulbs, normally at heights of twelve feet or less.
- Fuel student vans as needed. Report vehicle issues to Facilities Manager.
- Maintain security of campus buildings including checking, opening, closing and locking doors and windows.
- Move furniture, equipment, and materials as needed.
- Transport incoming deliveries and other supplies to appropriate buildings, unpack/assemble as needed.
- Prepare rooms and outdoor spaces for special events. Set up chairs, tables, and other items following directions.
- Clean walks, remove snow, and apply de-icing solutions.
- Operate all lawn and grounds equipment, including power mowers and snow blowers to ensure grounds are properly are maintained. Perform minor mechanical work as needed.
- Assist custodial staff as needed. May operate vacuum cleaners, strippers, buffers and mop wringers; and use mops, brooms, brushes, soap, cleaning fluid, floor wax and other material related to building cleaning.
- Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned.
