JOB OPENING

CAFETERIA ASSISTANT
FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Part-time Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervising the children in cafeterias and classrooms during breakfast and
2. lunch period.
3. Encouraging students to consume all lunch foods, including milk.
4. Cleaning and wiping tables and spills after each breakfast and lunch period.
5. Assisting children to open food packages, milk, and juice containers.
6. Redistributing refused food to sharing table.
7. Providing students with extra straws, napkins, condiments, etc.
8. Picking up all garbage, but also encouraging students to pick up paper and food
9. items, on and around their table or desk, and placing them into a refuse
10. container.
11. Assisting the cafeteria workers in handing out food and milk, help to keep
12. students in order as they pass through line.
13. FFVP-Assist in packaging and distribution the bags or baskets of fresh fruit and
14. vegetable.
15. Spot sweep and spot mop any spill of beverage or food.
16. Recycling unwanted milk into containers to discard
17. Lifting of bokes or milk crates.
