General Description:

The MS Technology Integrator at AAS is an experienced educator with a passion for developing technology skills, abilities and a growth focused mindset within all stakeholders. Leading professional development activities and supporting faculty members, students, and parents is a core component of this role. S/he will possess the capacity to align divisional technology initiatives with the AAS Mission, Vision, Core Values, Strategic Priorities, and ISTE framework while successfully developing and executing action plans for realizing these initiatives. AAS is committed to maximizing the value of recent PowerSchool and Schoology migrations in the immediate time frame. Teaching quarterly exploratory elective courses centered around technology topics is required.

This skilled professional works collaboratively with colleagues in the realm of technology and curriculum to support the implementation and vision of the ever-changing direction of technology as a learning resource. The role will transition from an integrator role into a coaching role as part of the school's commitment to the growth and development of a formal coaching program in collaboration with the curriculum leaders.

Education and Experience

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or master's degree in education, technology or a related field
  • Experience in establishing policies and procedures that are vertically aligned with other school divisions
  • Experience implementing and sustaining program change at a divisional level

Core Duties:
  • Designing and facilitating relevant student-centered, standards-based, learning experiences
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with the technology infrastructure and support teams
  • Commitment to being an integral part of the AAS learning community
  • Dedication to being a reflective practitioner
  • Collegial and cooperative relationships with colleagues
  • Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in facilitating both teacher and student learning
  • Experience with a wide range of hardware and software with an emphasis on the iPadOS and MacOS environments.

Preferred:
  • Two or more years of full-time, full-year experience as an educator, with international experience preferred
  • Experience with Thinking Collaborative programs such as Adaptive Schools or Cognitive Coaching
  • An Educational Technology certification
  • Experience and/or training with the ISTE Standards

Other Responsibilities
  • Participate in weekly faculty meetings (divisional or school-wide)
  • Engage in department and grade level planning meetings
  • Participate in duty rotation
  • Serve on a variety of working committees related to curriculum, policy, etc. on an as needed basis
