Job Details

The Coordinator of Children's Religious Education will be responsible to the Director of Evangelization and Faith Formation for the implementation of the faith formation program for the children and families of CMOQ. The core task is to accompany and equip families to become the "primary catechists" of their children as outlined by the Church.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Run Family Faith Formation Program
  • Oversee team of volunteer Catechists
  • Organize and facilitate Vacation Bible School program
  • Run First Penance/First Communion Programs
  • Organize parent committee and volunteer corps for the creation and planning of family life events for the parish community.
  • Other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Roman Catholic in sacramental union with the Church.
  • Bachelor's Degree. Degree in Religious Education/Theology or related field preferred.
  • Five+ years of professional experience.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with professional staff and volunteers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
It should be noted that the Coordinator of Children's Religious Education and Family Ministry operates at a flexible full-time status due to events scheduled on evenings and weekends throughout the year.
