Great Oaks Legacy Charter School is seeking a Manager of Data Reporting and Analysis to join our team this academic year.

The Manager of Data Reporting and Analysis is responsible for the production, organization, and analysis of the many types of data required to support our students' achievement and oversee the delivery of critical compliance imperatives for the organization.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: The Manager of Data Reporting and Analysis reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

The purpose of the Manager of Data Reporting and Analysis (MDRA) role is to:
  1. Software Management/Support:
    • Actively manage our Student Information System, PowerSchool, and expand school-wide usage of and fluency with this tool;
    • Oversee setup, extraction, analysis, and interpretation of all teacher-facing and student-facing data, including oversight/reporting structures and professional development as needed. Includes but is not limited to I-Ready, ALEKS, Scholastic, Hapara, Illuminate, Whetstone, and Gradecam.
  2. External Reporting/Compliance: Coordinate the annual calendar for and manage the completion compliance data submissions across a number of external data reporting systems, including NJ Smart, Pearson Access, SSDS, NJ Homeroom, SNEARS and other state mandated reports, including troubleshooting and correcting data to ensure accuracy.
  3. Internal Assessment Systems: Support the data demands and implementation of internally-managed assessments including A-Net, NWEA Map, STEP, SRI/SMI, and Illuminate-based internal assessments.
  4. Management Reporting: Produce management reports for presentation to the Senior Leadership Team; Compile monthly dashboards for presentation by the Executive Director to our Board of Trustees.
  5. Progress-Monitoring: generate and distribute weekly and monthly performance analysis reporting for GOLCS campuses, departments and functions, and the Senior Leadership Team, and contribute to the effective monitoring of organizational performance in coordination with the Chief Strategy Officer.
  6. Support the facilitation and completion of accurate and timely data report requests as determined by the Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer.

Qualifications
  • Belief that all students have what it takes to be successful, to and through college
  • Bachelor degree required, graduate degree preferred
  • Has 5+ years' previous experience in a data-driven role, particularly in an education or non-profit setting
  • Able to manipulate large quantities of data with accuracy and strong detail-orientation
  • Ability to present complex concepts, clearly and concisely, to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office suite and schools-based technology requirements
  • Highly skilled with Tableau
  • Working knowledge of DeansList, i-Ready, and/or ALEKS systems strongly preferred
  • PowerSchool administration or other student data management systems preferred
  • Familiarity with local and state data platforms preferred
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills;
  • Strong customer service approach and communication skills;
  • Passion for the mission of closing the achievement gap;
  • A strong desire to take initiative, pursue additional projects, be creative, and propose new solutions;
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and lead as well as to work collaboratively
  • Quick and effective learner in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment that proactively seeks feedback to improve
  • Strong organizational/time management skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task, set and drive priorities against urgent deadlines, monitor progress towards goals, and utilize data and information
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills
  • High sense of urgency; demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently
